Solutions Engineer

As a Solution Engineer, your primary responsibility is to manage the post-sales, technical onboarding process of new clients and partners, in an effective and efficient manner. This includes, but is not limited to, configuring SAML SSO, building and deploying custom built Webhooks and/or API microservices. In this role, not only will you grow with Housing.Cloud, but you will also have the opportunity to decide whether you would like to grow into a lead Individual Contributor or Management position.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end to end process of onboarding a new client from signature to customer launch

• Build robust and scalable integration solutions which are repeatable and easily supportable

• Migrate customer data from legacy systems to Housing.Cloud

• Work closely with the Product Engineering team to productize common integration systems and patterns

• Help close deals by meeting with a customer’s IT department to ensure we meet a customer’s security standards (this will be less than 5% of your time)

• Understand Housing.Cloud’s product offerings and effectively communicate them to new clients

• Help strategize the direction of Customer Success department

• Collaborate with Product Engineering to automate the onboarding process

  
  

Qualifications

• Great attitude and generally positive outlook on life

• 1+ years working directly with clients in a technical manner

• 3+ years of shipping quality code in a professional environment

• Experience with integrating cloud software systems

• Experience deploying to AWS infrastructure

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Willingness to travel to client worksites as necessary, up to max 10% of work time

• Eagerness to share your knowledge and ideas with colleagues and clients with a positive (and, if necessary, patient) attitude 

• Ability to operate as a high-performance colleague and human without taking yourself too seriously

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Student Information Systems is a huge bonus

• Experience working at an early stage startup

• Experience in the EdTech or Higher Education industries
